;According to the statistics by the Executive Yuan, the total number of registered scooters were 13.83 million in Taiwan in December, 2018, and the density of scooter was the highest in Asia. The air pollution caused by exhaust emissions not only affected the quality of the living environment, but a threat to the health of people. Therefore, in order to reduce air pollution, the government encourages people to buy electric scooter and subsidize them, hoping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. This study is to explore the correlation between consumers using condition of gasoline-fueled scooter and the willingness to purchase electric scooter, moreover, analysis of influence factors on electric scooter.
By using the Probit Model, the result of the study are as follows:(1)riding scooter’s days, riding time and distances, average weekly petrol costs and annual maintenance costs present negative significant effect.(2)age, education and income present positive significant effect.(3)gender has no significant effect. (4)area has no consistently significant effect.(5)The factors of consumers purchase electric scooter are listed in sequence:improving charging facilities, price is reasonable, increasing exclusive parking spaces, improving the endurance performance and providing parking fee preference.
