In today's dynamic and turbulent business environment, there is a strong need for the organizations to become globally competitive. The survival guide to competitiveness is to be closer to the customer and deliver value added product and services in the shortest possible time. This, in turn, demands integration of business processes of an enterprise. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is such a strategic tool, which helps the company to gain competitive edge by integrating all business processes and optimizing the resources available. Implementing ERP has become an inevitable trend for the enterprise. Although ERP system becomes more and more popular nearly, implementing ERP system is an even more daunting challenge. Because ERP system encompasses all major of the business, users must make literally thousands of choices about each step of each business process they operate to configure an ERP system. ERP projects are also lengthy, involve large teams of people and higher costs, vast majority of companies who have been through a less than fully successful ERP implementation. According to the concept of QFD in concurrent engineering, we develop a methodology to let the implementation of ERP system more efficient and effective. In this research is to design the prototype of a Function Deployment System for configuring ERP systems (FDS_ERP) which can accelerate implementing ERP system. In brief, this framework is a hybrid QFD into which IDEF3 and IDEF4 are incorporated. And we use QFD to deploy the voice of the user and decomposed process/data flow and modules then describe their relationships. Using IDEF4 Object-Oriented Method to identify the object for the ERP and describes their relationships between objects. Using IDEF3 Process Description Capture capabilities for modeling, analyzing and through business processes, organizations, data and functions. Using configuration management methodology to control the implement of ERP project. Based on our methodology can construct a template, which can (1) Reduce ERP project lifecycle from preparation to go live. (2) Improve communications among personnel involved in ERP project. (3) Improve the match of deployed and configured ERP system capability with stakeholders’ requirements.
